Finally, it's done

The toilet bowl that we have to get for our flat is not the common ones. It is what the plumber says, "P type", it has to be flushed against the wall, and to fit 2 inch size pipes. Due to the specific design, the cost for the toilet is like $600+++ as compared to normal toilet bowls which you can get for $250.  Add labour and all, our "big" project was close to $1K (with a new water heater for the bathroom).  The debris that the plumber dug out consisted -- bread wrappers (plastic), plastic bags, wooden chopsticks, cloth and wool. They were empathetic when they learned that it was the works of an unsound mind. Empathy apart, they did not offer any discount nor did I ask of any discount from them. Because I could see the kind of "hardship" they had to endure as part of their jobs.
