and the spring cleaning continues

Take pictures before discarding....

Hardly see the light of day, these plush toys, all cooped up in IKEA storage boxes.
We don't do much whatever you call that-- imaginary play?
We're not effusive or gushy over dainty things except plush pet cats and dogs.

 Siamese cat, I wanna keep.

Try to find a kid who wants them.

 Sad looking Monkey and friends.

 Free Willy

Found Mell
She's as pretty still

unused Barbie. Maybe can get her some trendier clothes.

This one will remain with me for as long as it shall be.

Stayover Day 2: Quack Quack, Duck Tour

It's Day-two of KiCo's Stayover at my Mom's place.

Sweat ar. My sis says Kiki used the F word and also CB.....
Sis was astonished.
I am.................................................. OMG.
I've never used these vulgar language so much in my life until the year 2015.
I had lost my cool too many times!
Gosh. So sorry about this.
I must learn to manage my tongue or substitute with placebo words.
The Papa had kicked the uncouth habit for two decades, I can't imagine it came to me instead.

Day Out

 Quack! Quack!

Huh??? Dozed off halfway through the tour?

(didn't nap earlier lah, that's why!)

Stayover

My sis took leave from work to help babysit KiCo.
At the same time, she transformed them into construction workers.

 LOL

After a visit to the Science Centre, Colin aspire to be an Engineer. He says he wants to "move things", so I guess he's more keen in Mechanical Engineering.

He used to want to be an archeologist.

 Body organs

 Media production work

Dinosaur Safari?

Meantime, I sorted their toys after work till 11pm, still there's more to go!
Asked my sis to let them stayover for another night, hopefully, I could complete this toy sorting task tonight! Clean toys with cleaning cloth, sort toys to throw, sort to give away, sort to keep, haven't store properly.  Happiness is to find one missing piece of toy and unite it with its set.

Snapped a picture of my old doodles before discarding them.

Outdoors + Spring Cleaning

From the moment they awake, till late at night, they want to cycle on their new bicycles.
Even when I was busy doing Spring Cleaning, the two of them cycled at the corridors.
I am very busy, really. Back-breaking busy! Cleaning the house. There's so much to clean. Besides area-cleaning, there's also the toys, their clothing, my clothing, my bags, books, and shoes. Kitchen, bathroom & Bren's parent's room are his care.

I said to Bren; we live so close to the beach, yet we took so long to get bicycles. We simply didn't have the time for that. Now that we've made time, it's a nice feeling watching them cycle. They feel a little more grown. Colin fell from his bike five times or more. But he's still raring to go. Kiki also fell from her bike a few times. But they are more than excited to cycle.

Now Colin is tall enough to use the go-kart
They have one cart each but despite me telling their nanny a dozen times to let them play the carts, it never was done. So now after Spring cleaning, I will leave the carts accessible, easy to retrieve for play. They had much fun gliding down the gentle slope just downstairs from our house.

Fake Snow = Foam

I let them wear some of their oldest clothes as I thought we will get sticky and clammy so no need to put on nice clothing. Alas, we bumped into an old, old.... old acquaintance of mine. But I think it was alright, because we chatted throughout the entire bus ride, the whole time I didn't feel self-conscious despite having zero make-up on. Not even BB cream or CC cream of sorts.  I must have looked terrible but my friend was too caught-up in catching up, we just kept on chatting. Actually, I forgot that I was naked on the face until we said Goodbye. Then I chided myself for being so lazy.  Although my acquaintance and I are FB friends, the last time we saw each other in the flesh was some... 11 years ago. She says she is more than surprised to learn that we live two blocks away and the entire time we have not bumped into each other.

Colin wasn't keen in getting wet, nor was I keen with the foam thingy because there was a strong chemical, unpleasant smell coming from the foam. But Kiki was disappointed that I didn't want her to play. So I thought to myself-- hai ya, what the heck, we may not come back to this thingy anymore (outgrow), so never mind me lah, just let her play.   So ended up she played with the foam thingy by herself while Colin & I watched.

As long as there's no "Pedestrian's Night" at Orchard (where they close the street to traffic), it is rather convenient for us to get there by bus.
