I love P, I love M.

I really liked this sketch. I feel that she draws without inhibition, which is something that some of us may loose along the way. I hope she continues to doodle freely and I would continue to get her all the colouring materials for this leisure pastime.

She did this in school during Christmas.

It looks as if the flowers put their arms on the hips.. ha.

She says- I love P means I love Papa.
I love M means I love Mama.

Last Weekend

 Oppa King

Kiki fed a stray cat, I mean, an imaginary stray cat, and that stray cat followed her home.
The next day, the stray has a name. "Percy", she said. Oh, the cat is a male? I asked.
Yes, it's a tom cat; she replied. And sometimes, Percy goes into my bedroom to sleep.
Two weeks later, she gave my bangles to Perry, the toy dog. But I thought Perry is a male dog? He doesn't need bangles. And so, imaginary play begins. The scary thing is when she told me there is a ghost named "Coldzy" that sometimes sleep with her. I said - No! no! I don't wanna hear scary stories.

Goodbye, Mr. Hiroo Onoda; and thank you.

Two weeks ago, Mr. Onoda passed away. He was 92.

For those who do not know about his story, there's the brief from Wikipedia:-
Hiroo Onoda (小野田 寛郎 Onoda Hiroo?, March 19, 1922 – January 16, 2014) was an Imperial Japanese Army intelligence officer who fought in World War II and did not surrender in 1945. In 1974, his former commander traveled from Japan to personally issue orders relieving him from duty. Onoda had spent almost 30 years holding out in the Philippines. He held the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Imperial Japanese Army.

I don't know how to put this across in a more comprehensible way, so I'll just explain as clearly as I can.
There is a process in NLP I've learnt; known as "Parts Integration", and Mr. Onoda's story was being used as an illustration. Basically, it explains how sometimes, some part(s) of us seem to be at war with the rest of our psyche. But please do not hate yourself, do not blame, and do not be angry at that part of you. Because it was just following orders and doing a fabulous job at it. It is a soldier. So, until the commander gives him a new direction, could he then be relieved from his duties, and integrate into the whole (be it your psyche, your family, or society at large).

This learning, for me, healed a very large portion of the pain and struggle I had before.
I do not know why. I think I was just a very good kid that followed much that was being taught but the "orders" and instructions were given by so many mixed up adults in my life that I think I was fragmented. After learning about "Parts Integration", and some other exercises; a very large portion of me became whole again. Finally, I was at peace with myself and have not looked back.

So ya, thank you for sharing your story.

Colin at Mandarin

Colin has been attending the Chinese class for three weeks now.
He doesn't want to attend it by himself and would cry until you can hear him ten floors under.
So that is really no good for him..... and we sneaked Maricar in to the classroom. As long as there is a familiar presence, Colin calms down and he is actually very interested in the lessons. (If not, I would have stopped the class, regardless refund or otherwise).
So anyway, with each passing week, we hope the boy will gain security and independence.
Yesterday, after the lesson, I asked Maricar if Colin was okay in class.
She said yes, he said "Ya, Ya" to the teacher.
I said, no, Colin. Say "Yes", not Ya, Ya!
Maricar explained in zest -- Maam, Ya is teeth, Ya!
LOL. Ya,,, the Chinese word Ya, they are learning Eyes, Nose, Teeth, etc. I see.

CNY Reunion Part 3

My family had our reunion "dinner" yesterday. we had it at lunch.
Although the food was average, we did not live for the food.
We lived for the people. Or at least this is what I think.

Kico enjoyed themselves very much. One busy eating almost everything, while the other is more engrossed in crackers. They are slightly older enough to appreciate gatherings and for sure they know it was an uncommon event.

CNY "Reunion" Part 2

One day after our office's lunch, we had another round with our Parent Company.
Our stove & steamboat did not work well, hence we gawked at other people having their feast while we waited for over an hour and our pot did not boil. This is the second time we experienced such luck (we were the only table that had malfunction stoves) but I think we did well in the sense that no one threw a tantrum despite them being very hungry. (I was not hungry).

Tunic Dresses

A style that suits my short, stout, frame.
Hope I will be able to gather more of these in my wardrobe =)

Recent Foodie

McCafe Breakfast, the cuppuccino is nice.

MadJack salad. Errrm...... a little too jelat for me. (queasy)

Korean Kimchi Soup. It says - "Spicy Pork Kimchi Soup". Guess how many slices of pork were there?
ONE. One slice. The next time I order this, I will take a video of the search for the pork.
I liked it that it helped clear my bowels the next day.

Taman Jurong Fish Head Curry.

Blood Giving

You will know how valuable blood is when you are in an emergency that requires medical treatment immediately. Bren's monthly donation (this was last December's), and he had gone for Jan's already.

I am freed

Yesterday was the last day of my exams. I am freed! Yeah!
If I could graduate with a second-upper class,,,,,,, I would be over the moon.
However, anything less,,,,,,, I would be disappointed!

Anyway.

Now that I am "free",,,,,,,, my next project would be,,,,,,,,,,,,, well, many.
  1. Catch up with all the dates I've put on hold. Many friends' birthdays I had missed, and I've not seen anyone for over a year now. So, it's time!
  2. Err,,, catch up on my facials? and hair treatments.
  3. Weight management & exercise. I must attend to this before it gets any more depressing.
  4. Bring KiCo out.  The school is organising outings to the zoo and bird park this year. So those are covered. I would like to bring them to the Gardens by the bay, the two flower domes. The Botanic Gardens; when there's some musical performance. USS; with Kiki as Colin will not be able to enjoy much of the rides. Other children's baking classes etc. So, it's playtime!
  5. Go attend a few cooking and baking classes. For the fun of it.
  6. Meditate and pray.
That will be enough to fill the entire year =)

Love Note

A surprise awaited me in the morning.
Kiki left me a love-note under my pillow..... that sweet little girl.

Sale!

I was actually just window browsing, I do that all the time.
So happened to pop into the store and viewed the bags as the store was empty.
This bag appealed to me and the sales staff added that it is on 60% off!
Wow, that's fantastic! And shoes too.
And it's not too heavy too =)
