Regular Stuff

Last Sunday, she learned "Ji" (Hen). I asked her, was it "gong ji", "mu ji" or "xiao ji"
Rooster, Hen or Chick. Papa, Mama or Baby.
She said "chick".

Blank Memory

You know, I can only remember 2006. The years after that draw blank. Probably a few fleeting memories and nothing else. I feel so numb. The past few years if not for the birth of my child I might have as well been a work-robot. I now reclaim my life. There are so many things I care about. So many people I care about but didn't give them the time. Almost lost an old friendship because I was rushing and the happenings at home were just burning my fuse from both ends of my wick and I snapped at my friend and I didn't apologize. Lucky for me she was magnanimous and called me back but I really have to watch myself. Probably need to constantly inhale deeply to calm my nerves. Either that or run away from home. Either that or throw the people out. Either that or be numb. Either that or accept with grace. I am already 80 marks with grace and am channeling god's grace. Cos I am human and my grace is not perfect. So anyway, dear Universe, let there be grace in my heart and please enlighten me with the wonders of the world and let me enjoy your fruits and nurture me to nurture others. And so, it is.

Sundays

We started a baby class for Colin. Many people asked me what is the course for; I can't specifically tell you what to expect nor can I guarantee that your child will be enriched. You can check out the net for more info. What I can briefly say is that I feel that the course is beneficial in terms of memory skills, listening skills, concentration, photographic memory, and other basic motor skills (e.g: hand-eye coordination, and excises involving eye movement, mouth movement, etc). This programme used to run on three languages, the English, Mandarin and Japanese; but now they could not have it in Japanese. I am not sure why but I think it might be a franchise / license matter. Kiki used to attend this when there was a branch at Parkway but now that it has closed, we are traveling to Toa Payoh (TPY) for Colin's classes. Well, we've decided to dedicate one year for this and I hope we will last, because it is really quite hectic to be ferrying the kids around. As it is, Kiki's classes are all within walking distance and I am already feeling the heat. So,,, TPY is the furthest we'll go *for now.

I told Bren that it feels like touching lottery three times. He said "What?? we touched 4D?"
No, but it surely feels like consolation prize. It wasn't easy to find the matching books for the audio CD as some of the books are either not at the branch or some are on loan. Hence when I found these books, I was elated. Yeah!

Zumba it is

There is this fad on Zumba fitness dance, I am looking forward to it and I hope it will be really fun. Judging from the videos I've seen on Youtube,,, they look like loads of fun. Basically, it is like aerobics exercise, add some groove & Latin flair.

So anyway, this pair of McCartney shoes are so slim and cheerful, I hope they will sweep me off and bring some grace to my dancing feet.

My Aunt's 60th Birthday

I asked her to write "I Love You",,, I spelled it for her.
Actually, she really doesn't know how to write at all,,,,, but it turned out looking like the word LOVE after all.

Qing Ming & Happy Easter Day

This weekend, my sis & I went to the temple to have a prayer for my late father.
The first thing I whispered to my dad was "Ah Ling wo seng gai boyfriend leow" (in Teochew).
It means, "Ah Ling (my sis) has a new boyfriend". (air of mystery) (this is new, new BF. not the one during dec. that is over. hope this BF is the one for her)

and then proceeded to update him about Maofu (Colin) & Kiki.

Kiki learns "Tu zi" from her Chinese class yesterday.

I plan to get a Strawberry shortcake (the ones from Four Leaves bakery are good), for Kiki to bring to school on her birthday, 4th April.
Also prepared a dozen Goodie-bags for her friends.

Goodie-bag consists:- two Toblerone chocolates,. one set of stickers, one box of crayons.
