If we hold on together

watch the clip here -- Cover - If we hold on together
original artist- Diana Ross.
featured in animation movie - "The Land Before Time" 1989

Excerpt of lyrics:-

Don't lose your way
With each passing day
You've come so far
Don't throw it away

Live believing
Dreams are for weaving
Wonders are waiting to start

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I

Big Four O

Kiki asked - Mama, are you four years old?
(LOL) Does she has concept of age?

A "sign" to wish me happy birthday.

An old friend reminded me that I was "Candy" before I was Kann.
20 years of being Candy, 20 years of being Kann. Now they're even. LOL.

Ang Bow from Bren. On top of the gold coins! How sweet.
(Instagram hanged.......)

It was a working day... I applied for leave on every working Saturday (alternate weeks)

Happy Birthday to me!

My yearly present from Brendan.
This year, I couldn't spare the time to count the coins together, so he counted them for me.

Voila!  make a guess, how many gold coins are there?

 1117

wait, there's more!
1163 in all.

He doesn't want me to spend it on a "designer bag", that, I could get it for myself.
So,,,,, what shall i get?   shall i get another semi-SLR? i've lost the first one (sad)
hummmm.... that i can get for myself.
So,,,,,,,, what shall i get?
Shall mull over it.

Birthday Lunch

My friends at work bought me a birthday lunch.
Work is the place we spend more than half our lifetime. It occupies our time, our minds, our space.
If you're not happy at work, you may then be unhappy most of your time.
So, try to be happy if you can help it before you get burn-out and vanish or throw in the towel.
I need to remind myself on this too.
In Singapore, the little red laser-dot, most average person is unable to maintain dignity if left without a job or a decent salary. It has nothing to do with wanting luxury. So, if you are holding a job that's not too bad; treasure it. If you think you can do better, do it. If you find that you deserve better, go find it.
If you think you're burning out, take twenty steps back and breathe. I have no answers to it.

Thanks, Iresh. Suits me just fine.

Rocket (on keyboard)

Kiki will be having her maiden recital at Nafa next month.

I asked her what she'll be performing and this was what she showed me last night Rocket (Keyboard)

MIL's BD

My mother-in-law said to me "Happy Birthday".
Stunned, I replied "It's not my birthday today, my birthday is not till next week".
She replied: "It's my birthday".
Oops, I had forgotten her birthday.
I am really so busy until I fall asleep while on the bus. This kind of situation hardly happens.

Rail Rush

Yes, she is still on pacifier when she's home and she will wake her Papa up at 4am if she couldn't find her pacifier. (she doesn't wake me because she knows I need my sleep).

I am not a fan of much electronic games, though I do not advocate them, I do play one or two games for the fun of it. Kiki and Colin have little contact with apps and games, so sometimes, games can be refreshing for them. Kiki took to the "Rail Rush" game so well, her current highest score is at 81. Not bad at all.

Rail Rush

Year End School Performance

Colin looks like he had just woken up from a nap, I think that was the case.

Curious about Kiki's song segment but didn't want to move to the front for a better view.

Dreamy still
(she signed "I love you" to me. we always do that when we are at a distance.)

Video: Watch the song-dance here

Ballet Recap

Last Saturday, the ballet school had an "open house" for parents to view what their child has been learning so far. So I brought Colin along to lend support to his Jiejie.

Watching on, wondering when they will end the routine

Starting rolling
Colin watched the stretching exercises and dance routine for 30 minutes before he finally became bored. Started to roll on the floor, self-entertaining, and expressed his epic boredom by stuffing his socks into his mouth. -_-"""""""""""

One Last Leg

Sorry for the lack of entries, I have so many things to share and I wished my brainwave could transmit my thoughts and organise into a presentable blog entry but alas the technology is not commercially available yet.
I'm having three modules this term and there just just so many essays due this month, sometimes I'm overpowered by fear of not meeting deadlines or inability to come up with a reasonable piece of work given that I had practically not read any of the recommended textbooks from the online library... just two more months to go, hang in there!  There's this particular module - Business and Commercial Awareness, that Prof., is darn demanding..... he threw us not one but two "uncertainty events" and we had to either adjust our proposal or re-do the proposal to accommodate to the latest turn in event. He is trying to stimulate real-life work situations where crisis management is part and parcel of business. Well,,,,,,,, I really hope that I can complete my three essays these two weeks..........how am I ever going to enjoy by birthday! I will be 40! Gosh. that is like damn old!

Last Saturday, when half the people on our island went on holiday, we had our regular violin class.
Not that I'm complaining, as I was already mentally prepared to be committed to this violin education and have not a single ounce of displeasure. So anyway, for the first time in a year, the Novena Square (mall) was a ghost town. There were very few patrons unlike the usually sardine packed Saturdays. Except for GAP store that was running 50% sale, everywhere else was empty. Anyway, I was star struck when I saw this person sitting right in front of me when we alighted from the taxi. This Alvin guy. He is a fellow blogger, i don't think i can call him fellow blogger because he's a professional blogger and i'm not. Anyway, after 15 seconds of wondering if i should say hello to a stranger,,, i decided that i may never see him again and i will only have this chance. so i walked back to him (his wife and kid were there too), and asked -
"Are you Alvin?"
He raised an eyebrow and replied "Yes,,,,,, do I know you?"
"No, you do not know me but I read your blog"
"Have I met you?"
"No, you do not know me and we have not met"  "but I read your blog"
*** awkward silence for 5 seconds *** while his wife lowered her head with a wide, wide grin she couldn't hide.

LOL lor...
