BKK: Day 2: Part 1: Chatuchak Weekend Market

 Spicy Fusion Pasta

 Porridge

I enjoy moderately smelly cheese and would risk smelly farts

Chatuchak is opened on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays only.

We went on Saturday to avoid the crowd at Pratunam (where our hotel was) because a taxi driver told us that on Thursdays and Saturdays, Pratunam's shop owners are very busy taking in new stock and re-distributing them. Hence, we went Chatuchak on Saturday and started as early as 9.30am (local time). The crowd starts to thicken around 1pm and it becomes harder to shop. I mean the thick crowd slows us down.

You may like to wear something really casual there. Be prepared to perspire, the market is a labyrinth but everything's so cheap. For clothing, just check if you're okay with the material. Otherwise, be thrilled!

The sandals I've bought remind me of Darth Vader & Star Troopers. Haha.
I think they were 400 baht each (S$16)

So nice, can't be buying everything cos they're so heavy.
