Lemonade

It says- When Life Throws You a Lemon, Make Lemonade. What else do you want to do? Feel victimised? During the election period, I've read online on a Cantonese proverb- "Grab a fist of sand, even as you fall." I do not know the actual proverb but it sure shows a "can-do" attitude.
And so, I've told my sis to pretend that she's got a new condo unit at the outskirts of town since the 3-room HDB flat that we've gotten in exchange for the old flat is rather small but still, it is brand new! Many people would have craved for this, so let's just be thankful and celebrate.
Our old flat is among the light blue HDB buildings you see above. It is just two bus stops away but surely the district got downgraded from Orchard/River Valley to Havelock Road =(

You can still see Great World City from the living hall though it might take 20 minutes to walk there but it is still walkable.
Basically, the estate is surrounded by private condos and hotels, not to mention the likely hood that our old estate land MAY BE the space for the upcoming MRT station.

There is still a good chance seeing fireworks since we can see the Singapore Flyer from here. It will surely bring back my childhood memories when the NDP were mostly held at the Padang and I watched the fireworks from our old hall.

The common bathroom.
