Catching an old film

So, today, I watched "Black Swan", a movie that was released in 2010, from which Natalie won at both the Golden Globe & Academy Award the following year. I watched it because I came across an interview where Natalie mentions something along the line that that movie "changed her life".

Black Swan is a psychological thriller about a ballerina (Nina Sayers) being pushed to the limit while she prepares for a gruelling role to dance both the White and the Black Swans in one of the highly anticipated productions.

Besides the gruelling training, rehearsals and practices, the film deals with -- fallen favourites (no longer the lead dancer)

New threats (the alternative, back-up whom Nina thinks is trying to steal the lead)

 Psychological breakdowns, hallucinations, paranoia.

Can't tell if a colleague is being friendly or trying to get into her head.

Can't decide if a coach is trying to push her to express herself or trying to get into her head / pants.

Anyway, it is troubling to see this side of the world which I think is not that unrealistic when it comes to professions like Sports, Arts, Dance, or even academic & business fields. So I guess you'll have to assess if it will all be worth it or not. Or if you're lucky, you could juggle it well.

Anyway, that's not the point of what I was gonna say.
After watching the film, the first thing I googled was to find out if Natalie had been a ballet dancer prior to the movie. (she is not and was not, however she trained for 6 months to a year for the role) Then I found a flood of controversial news. It was said that she did 5% of the dancing on the set. This was claimed by her "body double" who is renowned in the professional dancing field. In Natalie's award acceptance speech, she did not give credit to her body double, perhaps contractually she was not allowed to but the body double didn't take it well, hence the rumour surfaced after the award ceremony. The thing is, it is common sense to know that this is acting and directing. Surely they don't think she won the awards for her "dancing"? She won the awards for her acting lah! So silly. And to think that people are criticizing her for falsely portraying as a dance professional? I think she had portrayed it as excellently as any actress could have. If the people feel cheated after supporting her in winning the awards, I say that these people barked up the wrong tree.

Dog = people feeling cheated, missing the point.

Squirrel = Natalie with her awards, don't know what to say or do.
Speak the truth, kanna eaten up, right?

Anyway, Natalie had largely maintained mum, although her co-star and the coach they had hire to train her on the set, had both vouched that Natalie did 80% of the dance scenes.

Lastly, to that body-double, F you. You are just being bitter over somebody else's fame, thinking it should have been you. No, you took a job as a shadow, you should remain as a shadow. You can't come out and want a piece of the pie when you realise how big the pie became. You should be contented that you had contributed, instead you attempted to jeopardise or you've already jeopardised someone else's life. Least, you could just kick yourself for your poor negotiations or that you had agreed too eagerly.
