Street Graffiti (not in Singapore)

The collage above is from another Singaporean Mommy's blog (Miracles of life). I just wanted to show you the simple yet creative graffiti at Malaysia, and this at Penang.  In Singapore, you won't be able to just scribble randomly anywhere without risking prosecution. There are designated areas, projects and licenses for this form of expression allowed in controlled environments, and that applies even if you own the property that you're planning on drawing. On the other hand, if there are no restrictions and up-keeping of the paintwork, our town my look scrubby. Also, no body wants to admit that we are a tad OCB; we also wouldn't want all sorts of gaudy, tacky grafitti spoiling our pristine cityscape, so I guess we may continue to grow within a more-or-less controlled environment (!)

Post entry:-- this just came in last night-- Worker cleaning up Graffiti found at Toa Payoh.
