We're off to Phuket =)

this sign reminds me of the incident when i was speechless dealing with an engineer (customer). we supplied some pumps and later were told that the pumps must have description tags (name plates). so i rushed to make several name plates to be fixed onto the pumps. then came the issue about certification. he said that i have to certify that the bolts used to fix the name plates as SS316, stainless steel since the pump itself was certified as SS316. i explained that the tag was not part of the pump, the tag is A TAG. i was so mad at this absurdity that i think blood shot my eyes and i couldn't further utter a word. because whatever that threatens to come out from my mouth is - are you kidding me you freaking brainless prick.

the sign above was found at a playground in sengkang (a relatively new HDB neighbourhood). it says no playing at playground. no, it says STRICTLY  no running or playing at playground.that emphasis made them dumb to the max. no playing is bad enough, they want to emphasize strictly no playing wor. how many hands approved that sign? i mean, someone has to come up with the idea to put up that sign and someone has to say okay put up that sign and then some workshop has to produce it and contractor has to erect it and then invoice comes and then someone has to pay it (it's the citizens paying for it via their town council for that matter) so in the process no one stops to ask if what they were doing made sense. we are used to signs at void deck displaying no football, no cycling, no skating as a measure of noise control but surely not at a playground MAN! for a stretch, if they imposed a no playing at playground after 11 pm etc may have been able to save their asses. whatever.

the tank top on the left is actually neon orange although it doesn't show.
the T shirt on top right is also neon green. these colours remind me of my roller skating days... where we will wear or use accessories that would glow in the dark. we are off to Phuket tomorrow until Sunday. it will be Kiki's first overseas trip =) we shall make a passport for Colin soon so that we can all go on a holiday together.
