Pulau Ubin (& Chek Jawa)

Kiki's childcare centre organises two main outings per year and several smaller outings to the theatres and parks. The centre encourages parents' participation because they believe these outings are a platform not just for learning but also for bonding. They asked us to bring attention on sights, sounds and kinesthetic (feel). At one point, I asked Kiki if she could feel the breeze. She asked what "breeze" is. I explained that breeze is same as wind but milder and gentle. 30 minutes later, she refused to put on the cap because she wants to "feel the breeze", she said.

The old bump boat operator. We had the chance to ride on one of the oldest-looking bump boats. Sitting in it just puts you in an era so dated, which is a nice, nostalgic feeling.

Wild bores that were so driven by hunger, they screeched in loud, urgent, high pitches that could be heard from a hundred feet.

She whispered uncertainly in my ear : "Mama, is this Goldilocks and the three bears' house?"
(totally an innocent question)
I replied, no, this is not Goldilocks and the three bears' house.  Then, a voice said: "but you can pretend it is Goldilocks and the three bears' house."
We both were startled by her teacher, Mrs. Wendy.
