Mama Bird

While waiting for me to dry my hair, she doodled on a note pad.
It's a chick anticipating its Mama who is flying back to the nest from afar.
She explained that the Mama is returning with worms to feed the baby bird.

Then, I asked her why the Mama bird is so small compared to its chick.

She gave me an impromptu, animated explanation about how something will look small if it is far away and how something looks bigger when it is in close proximity.

Close (in-your-face kind of close) will look BIG (she thrusts the paper to my face to illustrate her point)

Far away - will look smaller (stretches as far as possible to illustrate)
