Never say never

Our schools are moving away from over-emphasizing on grades.
Even if a child failed a certain subject, the marks printed on the report card no longer will be in red (ink) nor underlined in red, or highlighted. This was stated in the MOE website.

I suppose now the ball is the the Parents' courts to loosen up and look at the total development of a child.

Looking at the schools doing away with mid-year exams (for P3, P5), I believe this will lessen the stress on the children (and parents). Also, the weight is now distributed to - Edusave Merit Bursary, Good Progress Award, School Based Assessment, which will allow resources to reach families that need help or encouragement.

If Grades do not define us,   we must start to expand our perspectives and ask--- what does?

Your Beliefs? Your Behaviour? Your Causes? Your Strong Traits? Your Skills?

We, as a nation, are so young. We are only 53 year-old.
What is right, what is wrong, only time will tell. But why even have an ultimate view?
Let's grow. Together.
