Our Exams

Nervous..... taking our Grade 3 Piano Exams.

The Examiner held her first concert at age six.... she must be over and beyond an expert......

Kiki's eyes were swollen because I scolded her for the last minute scrambling with the Sight Reading book.................. and she sobbed before we left for the exams. Anyway, the Examiner stopped her halfway at the Sight Reading section, so I guess that must mean we have failed Sight Reading..... I can't help feeling why her teacher only introduced Scales, Sight Reading, Aural practices, at a very late stage. Surely, we are at fault for not being more serious or conscientious the past 12 months.  Nevertheless, it's done. Hopefully, we will pass the exams as we do look forward to upgrading further.

Finally found the opportunity to bring Kiki to the doctor's after the piano exam.
On Saturday, she had informed me about a sharp pain just below her rib cage and the pain was more pronounced when she breathed and swam in the pool.
The doctor ordered an X-ray to rule out fracture. So we did. Kiki was very nervous over the X-ray, I kept telling her it was nothing, it is like taking a photograph. She says it is not the process she was worried about, it is the result that she is worried about. I say if it were a fracture, we will have to take medicine and bones will heal. Luckily, the doctor advised that there wasn't any fracture and her verdict was that there had been muscular trauma, hence we will administer pain killers (liquid, oral) for about a week until the pain subsides. We still have no idea when this said muscular trauma episode came about but we are sure glad the doctor says not to be too alarmed. She asked us to avoid physical exertion and to skip swim class for another week.

A cat that looked more like a Corgi.

 Meanwhile....
