She has cerebal palsy and is permanently handicapped from birth.
Sometimes when we bring her out, people get a shock.
Because in regular lives, they hardly see any persons with deformities.
Colin is more playful with Charmaine and the two old folks while Kiki is more reserved.
Her apprehension is understandable. After all, the three needy persons parachuted into our home overnight some three years ago and invaded our lives. Colin on the other hand, is used to their presence.
I have no idea how I might work things out at home given the space constraint and constraint with everything else; energy, time, money, living space, study space, sleeping space, personal space. Then just two days ago, an old friend told me, "儿孙自有儿孙福" meaning, there will be blessings that children bring along with them, and there is no need to worry-sick.
I think we're doing fine and we should be fine. I hope.
Birthday card for Charmaine from people from the church.
