End of school term at group music, the class presented a short, beginner piece on the keyboard - Merrily we roll along.
After class, his teacher had a bag of erasers (from Smiggles) and told each kid to choose one.
Colin came back with two erasers. His teacher saw that and told him that he's allowed one eraser not two. I saw him clenching an eraser in each hand, stared momentarily at his fists, and then went up to the teacher to return one of the erasers he had. When he came back to his seat, he walked up to Kiki (who came to watch his mini-concert) and gave her the lone eraser (shaped like a lipstick). Oh what a lovely boy. His teacher exclaimed - Awww.... Colin! You're so sweet! You gave yours to your Jie Jie. She was so impressed she gave Colin an extra piece of eraser. Kiki has a thing or two to learn here man. I've told her that. The scene when Colin looked down at the back of his fists that held two erasers, is etched in my visual memory because I was sitting behind him observing what he'll do. Glad he is generous and has a sense of maturity with his thought process.
Char Siew Soul
Kiki was down with fever and cough, she hadn't slept well for a few nights. Finally, I gave her two pumps of Ventolin after deliberating for a long time as to whether to give it to her or not. after she coughed up a fistful of phlegm, I Googled and read up a little, decided to give her just two pumps. Glad it helped and she slept till almost noon.
So anyway, that's how Colin and I went for breakfast by ourselves, just the two of us. He described what he was eating as similar to "the white thingy with red thingy inside". What white thingy? Is it a fruit? No. White thingy...... he says it's round. Oh I know! Char Siew Bao lah! Hahha. His coded words.
Newly built playground at Parkway (almost ready).
Sweet Colin. My boys do that to each other too. After piano lesson, A1 would be offered a sweet. A2 too since we usually waited for A1 at the teacher's house. Last week, the weather was good and I stayed with A2 in the playground. A1 took 2 sweets after his lesson from the teacher's wife and gave one to A2 at the playground. A2 was then playing with a friend. He tore his sweet into two and shared with his friend (A1's classmate). Kids are so kind at heart. Lovely isn't it.
ReplyDeleteThat's very kind, both boys.
