Salesforce Workshop

I visited the OSEA exhibition yesterday at MBS.
In the morning, it was rather crowded. Basically, the presence of China & Korean manufacturers grew, while many American big-names were not at the show.
 (OSEA= Offshore Southeast Asia)

Anyway, that was not the highlight of the day.

The main event for me was the Salesforce workshop that we've signed up. (my colleague & I)
Salesforce = CRM software plus integrated platforms.
CRM= Customer Relationship Management.

These days, CRM has evolved into IoT and AI and it has a life of its own. (horror no horror?)

I can't put a finger to it, but honestly, too much information that someone or some entity has about you, is not a nice feeling. Encroachment feelings include having AI think for you, make suggestions to you, and perhaps even decide for you. Worse still, let you have the illusion of control and autonomy but in actual fact, you had been dripped with suggestions that were designed by AI for you.  Yet at the same time, it is quite amazing how much our lives already had been encroached with artificial intelligence, I am not sure if this is boon or bane but surely it occurred to me that we already live in a stimulated world, panned out by our previous decisions, our current decisions, our past likings, actions.

Anyway, this will be a long subject and we're not going into it.

Okay, while at the exhibition, there were unlikely participants-- children.

What were they doing there?

Oh, they were programming Legos. Robotics stuff.
So nice to start young.

Waaaa.... I also want to play leh.

We watched a demo at the Sales module.

Then we took a hands-on test at the lappy stations; earn three badges to obtain (1) a Tee shirt, (2) the Developer Guide Manual, (3) a Trailblazer plushie toy.

We only wanted the Developer Guide but the hands-on tests were SO HARD!
I almost gave up in just five minutes, but I said to myself, COME ON! How will you know if this thing works if you've never tried? So I pressed on.

So I persisted and read through foreign computing stuff in English nonetheless foreign to me!
Half the time I thank God I'm not in IT. Half the time I pushed myself to complete the 3 simple game-modules. There was this IT lady, she was very patient despite facing many angry men. I kept asking for her assistance and she came to me after settling the angry people. They were literally turning red from frustrations.

I am glad I've made it through the "simple" tests, they were horrid. I thought to myself -- no wonder we have to pay that kind of money to brainy IT people! We took like 45 mins to complete 3 "simple" games. Simple my foot. I am so gonna treasure that T-shirt and Plushie!

Oh, did I tell you we did the Mannequin Challenge while at the seminar too. LOL. From where can I view that video?
