Quick ways to lose friends is to pontificate-- to preach, to act moral, to lecture others.
To be dogmatic-- "principled", to lay down rules for others.
These days, everyone gets offended over every thing; religion, choice of food, choice of lifestyle, parenting styles, work ethics, social etiquette, cultural background,... every, thing. How then to have open or deeper conversations if you penalize them at every turn?
