SYF 2018

Glad that Kiki's school's Chinese Orchestra has won the Distinction Award in SYF 2018. She said their last CCA session for the term (yesterday), they did nothing but eating ice cream and cheering. LOL. She says it was the best CCA session ever. LOL, doing "nothing". Glad that the students' and teachers' months of practise and preparation have paid off. 为校争光, winning glory for her school. 

The SYF has done away with Gold, Silver, Bronze grading system and only awards two categories:- the Distinction category and the Accomplishment category. I've read online that this is to prevent SYF activities escalating into intense competition. However, I've also read that even with Distinction grade, there is a point system that will only be revealed to the teachers. Humm.... dunno and don't care lah. We just want to play music and learn more. LOL. 

Kids like Kiki are so easy to please. She is happy with snacks from the teacher, while I am appreciative of the post-it note from her teacher.
