Improvision

 she told me that she had forgotten to bring her pencil case to school yesterday.

I asked if she borrowed a pencil from a friend, then.

she said she didn't.  

then how? how did you pull off the Spelling test? I asked further.

she said she used the Grey coloured pencil from her colour pencil set, just treat it as a regular pencil.
