Kids say the darndest things

(Last week)
Overheard Kiki talking out aloud in my room---
"A promise is a promise!" etc... (can't hear her clearly), then "A promise is a promise!" again.
I thought I'd better check on her, so I opened the door and asked: "What are you referring to baby?"
"A promise is a promise! Or else how can Singapore count on you?!"
That baffled me.... "Who are you talking about baby?"
"You promised to read two storybooks but you keep saying 'wait'. How can Singapore count on you."
Ouch!... that's too serious man! *sweat
That's meddlesome NDP propaganda gone wrong. Haha.
