Chinese Movies

Entitled: Beijing Meets Seattle: Book of Love: Finding Mr. Right 2.
北京遇上西雅圖 2

My eyes are so tired after crying over the movie.
No biggie lah. Hardship is not a unique thing, it's just plain unlucky as Warren Buffett puts it (he says that he receives tonnes of letters regularly from people asking for money from him. he says that generally, those people are of two traits. the first group are people who were stricken with sickness. or that they have family members who were stricken with illness. hence they were laden with debts or responsibilities.  the second group of people are those who over-spent and they have a chronic habit of over-spending. so anyway, never mind what he had said, he says that the group of people who has got medically sick family members etc, basically it's plain unlucky and that perhaps society could help take care of the medical aspect so that the other healthy family members would not be laden and that they could then pursue their aspirations with their work and skills. the second group of people prone to getting into debt should just know that instead of getting ahead of the game, they are putting themselves behind and that they may never be able to catch up or be free from debt.)

Anyway, about the movie. It's a comedy romance about two persons exchanging letters, first starting out annoyed at each other but gradually learned to empathize with the other.

The movie was made as a 100th year tribute to Helene Hanff (American playwright) and Frank Doel (London bookseller) who had kept a 20-year mail correspondence with each other. I do not know if they fell in love, it looks like it. Anyway, I will borrow that book and try to figure out their story.
