I know what's wrong with the movie- Joy.
They should have just let Joy be the main character and leave it as that.
They went to cast two big names- Robert De Niro as the father, and the current fad actor- Bradley Cooper as one of the smaller roles. Those men easily over-shadow Jennifer Lawrence.
Too many cooks spoil the broth. But in this day and age, they might need heavy-weights to sell a movie. We're spoiled for choices and demanding in plots. That's why.
