Before Hanyu Pinyin was widely used, Beijing is knows as "Pekin / Peking" to the West so this is the popular Peking Duck dish where it's roasted skin is much savoured along with plum sauce wrapped thinly with pohpiah skin.
Roast Chicken, yum.
This is supposedly the condiments for the Claypot Rice dish but we ate them separately as they were too salty to be added all at one go. The Chinese sausages were very interesting, some were made from pork liver which I don't think I've eaten them in this form before.
The grand finale was the highly recommend "Young Coconut-Mango-Sago with ice cream". My boss always recommends this unique dessert to his guests. Although it was specified as young coconut, some of my colleagues got old coconuts and didn't get to enjoy the succulent flesh.
