Several people were shocked to see the top of my head having tiny, fury hair.
They asked why I've cut my hair this short.
No, I didn't cut my hair this short, these are "carpet hair", regrown!
Previously in December, it looked like this --- (!!!)
It is common to loose hair post pregnancy but to loose till there's a big bald patch is something rather shocking for me.
Luckily, my hair grew back. It now looks like this ---
But the sides still need help...
In case you're wondering what worked for me, it is this set of hair tonic-- Phytocyane
Normally cost S$108.00 per box for 12 tubes.
If on sale, you could get them at $168 for 2 boxes or multipack promotion eg: $108X2 boxes, free 1 box. Available at Watson & Guardian Pharmacy.
Hope this info helps those of you who may worry about thinning hair. =)

Offside
Last Friday, my GM alighted me at the Haw Par Villa entrance as I was going to the MRT station there.
Since it was relatively early, I decided to take a stroll in the deserted park. There were just a lover-couple, a pair of tourist and one teacher with 3 students (naming and studying the plants), and me, the loner. The park has been well restored and it brought me a vivid memory. I remember the place being crowded and the sun being scorching when I was there with my parents when I was ,,,,, 5 years old I think.
So anyway,, these days when you're on the bus or the train, you will see everyone busily playing games on their gadgets or watching video clips.
The person in front of me, count: 1
guy in white-T: 2
woman:3
woman:4
on my right, 5,6,7 & myself: 8.
behind me 9,10, 11.

First Food
Hello, Colin, you are six months old! =)
My cousin & aunts were astonished that I haven't fed Colin any solid food.
Well,,,,,,,,,,, the doctor said 6 months, so 6 months it is.
Colin hasn't learnt to sit upright by himself, so,,,,,, i'm not too sure about giving him "rough-textured" food. For now, we'll start with bottled ones and will work from here.

New Settlement
Last Saturday, my mom & sis moved to the new house.
The new house is just a bus stop away from the old place but somehow, it is further away from "everything". Further away from Great World City, from Zouk & from Orchard. Although it is "walkable" but it will take me probably 20 mins to walk to GWC. -_-
(my sis just showed me the photo of a moth that flew in and settled itself near the ceiling. There are beliefs that moth represents a "visitation" by a deceased loved one and sometimes shows up during important family events. In this case, it could be the spirit of our dad "coming to a house warming"!)
A simple prayer ceremony for the move-in.

Botanic Gardens Part I
Botanic Gardens Part I
Saying Grace before dinner.
(we were lost for a while and walked a long distance before making it back to the entrance of the park where the restaurant was, hence, her hair was wet with perspiration.)
She was excited over pizza as this was the first time she's eating it by herself. Or should I say this is the first time she's eating a good bake.
She did the "Happy-dance" after every bite. Ha ha. Self-satisfying.

Botanic Gardens Part II
All of us were there for the US Air Force Band from Hawaii, Honolulu.
After the sky turned dark, during the encore session, they played some new tunes like Katy Perry's "Fireworks", which got us all dancing. Kiki enjoyed herself, swinging away with her Papa & Yiyi.
Her Yiyi came with a crown for her. And Uncle Francis in tow, with a can of Coke!

Kids Say The Darndest Things
Kiki: What's that (sound) moma? Is it a bird?
Me: No, it's the truck's sensor, it is reversing. Beep, beep, beep, beep!
Kiki: It said "Excuse me" right?
Me: (stunned) Yes you're right! It's saying "Beep beep beep beep, excuse me"!

Mr. Popper's Penguins
I try to take a break during lunch and watch some dramas but mostly, I prefer movies.
I happened to watch the film adaptation of "Mr. Popper's Penguins" yesterday and almost shed a tear. (Tip: If you're watching a movie with your PC or lappy, use a pair of headphones. You could appreciate the movie more).
You can find it from:-
http://www.myentertainmenthall.net/2011/10/mr-poppers-penguins.html
Screen shot of Mr. Popper (Jim Carrey) trying so hard to make an egg hatch.
You know, with family themed movies; it's always the format of - A busy/successful/absent/ dad/mom, neglected wife/hubby/partner & children, failed marriage but successful at business/work, then came the "Ah Ha" moment and is profoundly changed.
Ya, you know it but it is still moving. (or am i depressed?)
From a man numb of feelings of love or sensitivity, Mr. Popper unwittingly fell in love with the penguins and got so engaged that he hoped with all his might that the single, unhatched egg will hatch. (It didn't), and how he became a "colder" & nastier person but alas with every family themed movie, all ends well and he eventually gained back his family's faith in him, having profoundly changed of course. =)

Season of the witch
Caught this over cable last night.
Grant me courage O Lord, for I am thy servant.
Grant me courage O Lord, for I am thy servant.
Enguard me with strength into battle that
I may crush thy enemy as dust before the wind.
Amen.

Valentine's
How was your Valentine's Day?
If you've received flowers and gifts, I'm happy for you.
If you didn't, fret not, neither did I. Ha ha.
You know, the hang-ups surrounding Valentine's gifts, especially flowers are so hyped that couples quarrel over it. Some people need to feel loved/touched/appreciated especially on this day but I would be happy to feel loved/touched/appreciated on any ordinary day! Ha ha.
So anyway, a colleague bought a small cake and we all shared. We each have a very thin slice and I think that's just sweet. I mean the gesture.
Bren & I were supposed to go for dinner but as usual, Kiki wants to play.
She came up to me and asked: "Mama, do you want to play Playdoh (holding up her right hand, clutching the bag of dough and die-cuts) or i-Pad with me? (holding up the i-pad with her left)"
With her looking at me with such anticipation; dinner could wait.... till Saturday.
The can of dough she has has dried up and is becoming brittle, so I took out a new can that I've hidden in the drawers. wow, it was all fun and gluey again.
Just then, the movie channel was showing the movie - "How Do You Know?" - A comedy romance, I think. I didn't catch the show, I only watched the last 20 or 30 mins of it. But I get the drift that this lady (Reese Witherspoon) was courted by two gentlemen and was trying to make up her mind whom she would choose as a boyfriend/partner/hubby. And this guy,,,, who seemed a little boring gave her a can of Playdoh as a gift and was explaining to her about the story of Playdoh (which is in turn a real life story), about how a carpenter's own concoction of plaster is being used to remove dirt / dust on wallpaper and how the dough was originally all white and how his sister-in-law saw it and being a kindergarten school teacher she knows children loves squeezing and moulding doughs, and how she gave him the idea to add some colours to the otherwise boring dough, and how the guy eventually became a millionaire (multi-millionaire) when previously at the brink of bankruptcy, and how,,,,,,,, we are all one small adjustment away from making our lives work.
Isn't this romantic?

youtube clip found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bXkOTDBfhs
Synopsis:
From the movie "How do you know". Paul Rudd is explaining the story to Reece Witherspoon. It talks about how the Playdoh inventor was going under- till he just changed 1 thing about it to make it the billion $ business it is today. He tells her how we are all like Playdoh, just 1 adjustment away from greatness. Very inspirational.

Sunday Mornings
So demure looking.
She learnt "er duo". One word per week and they make relevant handicrafts each time.
(A mask for "head", a crab for "eyes", rabbit ears for ears of course)
(gladiator sandals are Christmas gift from Pamela)
I'm finally up-to-date with my blogging. It has been very busy at work and at home and I could only blog over lunchtime. So ya, catch me again!
