Now You See Mee 2

Freeze!

Okay, so last week I watched NYSM2 but I hadn't had the time to tell you about it.
Well, for one, if you're a fan, you wouldn't mind its less than  grey plot twist which we could hardly call it any twist. I mean, ya, the ring leader (Daniel Radcliffe) who was dark on revenge gradually realises that his "enemy" was actually his dad's best pal, partner-in-crime kind of best buddies. Their "enemy" antics were for entertainment value but what lies beneath was bromance, brotherly love. Along the way you've got a restless group of disciples who are running out of patience having to lead a hidden, underground life in the past year and their group dynamics is beginning to crack under discontent and one fella starts to question the leadership and begins to think himself better. Honestly, I think that's rubbish, because really, if you are already a street illusionist, I would think that the depth of your self-control, discipline, and ability to manage your mental states are much better than a normal, untrained, person. Especially so when this group of hustlers were so eager and in awe to be part of "The Eye" (their idolised master held with highest regard). So to say that they got restless in a year is kind of lame.

So anyway, like I've said, you would pardon all these if you are scaled towards being fond of the team. After all, these days it is not easy to make a movie to capture mass money and yet stay true to the researched topic.

Anyway, having a hustler in me, I do enjoy these kinds of movies. Being dramatic in the name of entertainment. Who doesn't know that to make rain drops freeze midair or even reverse flow, is something of trickery (not talking about miracles). But still, it is exhilarating to experience the scene (I mean for the crowd in the show).

So anyway, Radcliffe as an actor, has always been a character actor. He hinted that he had not been invited to subsequent Marvel's sequels as Hulk, probably has something to do with him being more vocal on environmental issues because being an activist might not go well with box office. So that's some of the career risk he has to live with.

Lastly, where is Isla Fisher in NYSM2!!?  Oh come on. Where is that girl?
They replaced her with a new face. Not that I don't like new faces, but I think that Isla brought much colour to the team. She

Look at Isla. She made the team, the team.

She was that down-to-earth, likable girl in Confessions.

And boy, I didn't recognize her in Great Gatsby.............. I didn't even know she acted in there.
Would you rather be a forgettable role in an iconic movie (not forgettable, forgettable; that character is not forgettable, but the person acting that role might not be remembered for it because that production itself rightfully overshadows most characters except for the main character and his co-actor). So, would you rather be a forgettable role in an iconic movie (and have a "byline" for it) or give it a pass?

Below- Isla in Great Gatsby.
