Ladybird or Ladybug?

I've always known it as Ladybird but Brendan says it is Ladybug.

So, I wiki searched it,,,

Coccinellidae is a family of beetles, known variously as ladybirds (UK, Ireland, Australia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, India, Malta, some parts of Canada and the US), or ladybugs (North America). Ladybird Beetles is closer to Ladybird, so I will prefer to call it Ladybird but Kiki is calling it Ladybug due to the influence from her Papa.
