Our Regular Sunday

After her class, we waited for her Papa to finish his hair cut. While waiting, Kiki wants her hair done too even though her hair wasn't that long in the first place -_-
Brendan has befriended Dicky (his regular hair dresser) and both men chatted throughout the 20 mins.
 $10 a pop

Weekly routine, buy papers (for us to read while waiting for her to finish her Chinese class)

Another bag pack, this one with wings ^_ ^

Our breakfast - Tao Kwa Bao (Bean curd pockets filled with veggie condiments)

Art Rage

I bought this Apps., called "ArtRage" from the apps store, after reading about a paint brush that works on the iPad & iPhone. I dream of having that paint brush, yearned for it so much that I asked my bro-in-law to get it for me from the states. (I've searched online but the brush is not widely available yet). While I wait for the brush, I've decided to practise with the apps. The apps works without the paint brush, it's just that not everyone has ease using their fingers to paint. (hence the brush) or, that painters prefer painting with brushes (hence the brush!) Anyway, I am in awe with the advancement of technology, just imagine painting digitally on your iPad! Anyway, I love the apps so much! It is amazing. You get to choose the coarseness of your canvas, the thickness of your pastel oil, mix your own unique colours, and other tools like the palette knife, ink pen, pencil, crayon and brush. (all digitally). The effects are superbly real. You know, you can even create something that looks like it came from an Ad Agency. ya. That's just so cool. And you know, if you are really as excited as I am, you can also make a short story book for your child, just do your own illustrations! Isn't that just cool? I hope to doodle a story board for KiCo. Shall see what I come up with ya? Cheers!

Art Rage (Apps)

You probably can't see clearly that the canvas is "painted" with pastel oil with a palette knife.
I didn't know what to draw, so i doodled the 12 Zodiac while watching "Salt" (starring Angelina Jolie) over HBO.

The Pink Backpack

She likes the bagpack my sis bought, so much that she uses it everyday, even if it means putting only two leaflets of stickers in the bag. Throughout the music lesson, she carried the bag.

Brought her shopping at Orchard Road. Couldn't get her off the bus on the way home (she was sleeping / sleepy / cranky) and ended up at the Changi Airport (!!!)  -_-"     how to bring her on a holiday on my own? I dare not.

A day off

We had a day off yesterday, being Labour Day, 1st May.
Surprisingly, every where was not crowded. Maybe most people went overseas, as well as maybe it is school examination period now.

Colin began to have fun after learning to splash water with his palms.

We had lots of fun at the pool, having almost the whole pool to ourselves.

Maricar : "Kiki, how old is Isabelle?" Kiki: "Two!" Maricar : "How old are you?" Kiki: "Three!" Maricar : "So, who's older?" Kiki: "My Mommy!"

Kids Say The Darnest Things

"What's her name?" I asked, referring to her doll. "Isabelle", Kiki replied. "How old is Isabelle?" "Two" "And how old are you?" "Three" "So who's older?" I asked. "You!" she said, pointing at me...

Regular Stuff

Last Sunday, she learned "Ji" (Hen). I asked her, was it "gong ji", "mu ji" or "xiao ji"
Rooster, Hen or Chick. Papa, Mama or Baby.
She said "chick".

These pictures were taken last December when my sis & Janice brought Kiki to the old folk's home on Christmas day, to bring some cheer to the elderly.

Blank Memory

You know, I can only remember 2006. The years after that draw blank. Probably a few fleeting memories and nothing else. I feel so numb. The past few years if not for the birth of my child I might have as well been a work-robot. I now reclaim my life. There are so many things I care about. So many people I care about but didn't give them the time. Almost lost an old friendship because I was rushing and the happenings at home were just burning my fuse from both ends of my wick and I snapped at my friend and I didn't apologize. Lucky for me she was magnanimous and called me back but I really have to watch myself. Probably need to constantly inhale deeply to calm my nerves. Either that or run away from home. Either that or throw the people out. Either that or be numb. Either that or accept with grace. I am already 80 marks with grace and am channeling god's grace. Cos I am human and my grace is not perfect. So anyway, dear Universe, let there be grace in my heart and please enlighten me with the wonders of the world and let me enjoy your fruits and nurture me to nurture others. And so, it is.

Sundays

We started a baby class for Colin. Many people asked me what is the course for; I can't specifically tell you what to expect nor can I guarantee that your child will be enriched. You can check out the net for more info. What I can briefly say is that I feel that the course is beneficial in terms of memory skills, listening skills, concentration, photographic memory, and other basic motor skills (e.g: hand-eye coordination, and excises involving eye movement, mouth movement, etc). This programme used to run on three languages, the English, Mandarin and Japanese; but now they could not have it in Japanese. I am not sure why but I think it might be a franchise / license matter. Kiki used to attend this when there was a branch at Parkway but now that it has closed, we are traveling to Toa Payoh (TPY) for Colin's classes. Well, we've decided to dedicate one year for this and I hope we will last, because it is really quite hectic to be ferrying the kids around. As it is, Kiki's classes are all within walking distance and I am already feeling the heat. So,,, TPY is the furthest we'll go *for now.
Cheers!

Library

I told Bren that it feels like touching lottery three times. He said "What?? we touched 4D?"
No, but it surely feels like consolation prize. It wasn't easy to find the matching books for the audio CD as some of the books are either not at the branch or some are on loan. Hence when I found these books, I was elated. Yeah!

Zumba it is

There is this fad on Zumba fitness dance, I am looking forward to it and I hope it will be really fun. Judging from the videos I've seen on Youtube,,, they look like loads of fun. Basically, it is like aerobics exercise, add some groove & Latin flair.

So anyway, this pair of McCartney shoes are so slim and cheerful, I hope they will sweep me off and bring some grace to my dancing feet.

My Aunt's 60th Birthday

Everybody's turning 60.

I asked her to write "I Love You",,, I spelled it for her.
Actually, she really doesn't know how to write at all,,,,, but it turned out looking like the word LOVE after all.

Music Lessons

Row, row, row your boat.

Tracing an oval Semibreve
Learning High & Low pitches.

Old MacDonald has a farm.

Uniqlo opens at Parkway

Bought these for Kiki & matching T-shirts for her and my sis, and for Maricar too! Plus two pants for Maricar also...... Cheerful clothing.

(sorry,, again something is wrong with my PC being unable to save rotated orientation)

Qing Ming & Happy Easter Day

This weekend, my sis & I went to the temple to have a prayer for my late father.
The first thing I whispered to my dad was "Ah Ling wo seng gai boyfriend leow" (in Teochew).
It means, "Ah Ling (my sis) has a new boyfriend". (air of mystery) (this is new, new BF. not the one during dec. that is over. hope this BF is the one for her)

and then proceeded to update him about Maofu (Colin) & Kiki.

Kiki learns "Tu zi" from her Chinese class yesterday.
