CNY - Day 1 (2013)

 Day 1 - is to Grandpa's, Temple, Godma's and Uncle Meng's.

CNY- Day 2

 day two is always first to office; then to aunt Margaret's house. but because my uncle had a fall just before CNY and is hospitalized, the ging-gang headed to my mom's place this year.
luckily Ken & my sis organized to get some food from the local zi-char stall and that settled dinner
KiCo had a wonderful time exploring the house and getting to play with Pepper (my sis's dog who is 49 dog-years-old)

 i only have luck for small bet games like these. i was the "banker" while players had $2 stakes each.

CNY makan

 It has been raining most evenings, one night in particular i was cold and hungry and asked Bren to have this piping hot steamboat with me. he doesn't usually like hot food like these but have learned to appreciate.

 You know, at work place, we have a clique of people who are more bonded in the sense of poking fun at each other, talking what's-nots and mostly laughing aloud, mostly laughing too loudly i would say.
some of these people left the company but we will still meet up for gatherings like this. so last night was one of the nights.  the restaurant doesn't take reservations and had limited our time to 1.5hours despite us taking their CNY package and having 11 people. they are packed and indeed so but we bargained and loitered for a much longer time.

Making Memories

 we O-bey-som to form two teams

Cumi was in town for 3 days, so I made time to meet up.
PW wants to watch a live band, so we recommended her Chevys (at Katong).
and so we introduced two of our good friends to each other.

the band was very good (a different band on Mon & Weds), reminiscing our youth with tonnes of rock ballets. we will rock you!

USS - Sunday 2nd FEB

 the two of us were skipping happily when suddenly, the sun got shielded and rain came.
and it rained for the rest of the day......
nevertheless, we still had fun but i must say the attractions for young children are far lesser, no wonder children under 4 enter free. my ticket was $74 and i find that a tad expensive. perhaps not a fair comment because i don't take thrill rides.

 Elmo attraction is not ready till another few weeks but the characters' statues are up.
