Birthday Party
Nicklaus' first BD Party.
For a minute, he had a beam in his eyes (beautiful) and broke into a radiant smile when we sang him the birthday song. They really know what's happening.
I think Nicklaus looks so much like Val and Kiki, so much like me. Ha.
She played with Nicklaus' remote control car for quite a while. I think the car is from the movie - Tron or something.. these days, they make all sorts of merchandises from any theme or movie.

Resources
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there are many audio / video materials at the library.
I've been out-of-touch with our local library and didn't know the vast collection they had.
Many of the Chinese DVDs are too "cheem" for me, I can't relate to those China-made or Taiwanese production, but it is good enough they have some basic stuff for toddlers. I am stepping up on giving Mandarin exposure because firstly, I don't speak much of the language and Bren can't speak the language at all. So anyway, I will just make an effort to introduce more learning experiences with Chinese.
(p.s: Janice & Sher, there is a box of audio disc on "Three Cups of Tea"!)
I even borrowed some teeny romance pocket books for Maricar, much to her delight.
She trades romance books with her sister & a whole network of friends. -_-"
And for myself, some refresher tips. I need a reminder once in a while.

The Story of the "Ang"
As Kiki was unwell for the past two weeks, she ate very little, sometimes not even a meal in a day. Even till this afternoon, I can't get her to eat her porridge. I need to constantly improve on variety, hoping that something gets her taste buds excited. To the extent I gave her some fish burger and french fries from Mos Burger, guilty of the quick solution to have her eat something at least with some enthusiasm. At last her vomitting has stopped, thank goodness. I feel miserable to watch her throw up in the middle of the night. Thank goodness it has passed.
So anyway, my godma told me to make some "ang" for norishment. "Ang" is the gluey, water from cooking of porridge. The first time I've made it, I cooked the porridge for almost an hour and had quite a nice built-up of "ang". Then I switched off the stove and let the pot cool while I showered in the early morning. Little will I know that the water would dry up instantly. What a waste of my effort and I could only feel silly about my inexperience. So, the next time I did it, I made sure I took all the "ang" once ready. Made milk with the "ang" since Kiki didn't like the tasteless drink at all.

Kid's Kumpung
Kiki's godma brought us to a small farm, a place called "Kid's Kumpung" at Pasir Ris.
The place has coups for the chickens, ducks, rabbits, parakeets, koi pond, tortise & hamsters.
The two little ones enjoyed the place very much and Kiki was unusually chatty, she rattled away- "Everybody, look!" etc, etc.

@ The Wedding Dinner
Kiki burst into tears the moment we reach the hotel lobby where all the people are.
It was already late and most people have gone into the banquet hall and it wasn't really that crowded at the lobby but she was still unsettled. So we really didn't want to aggrevate the situation, hence we brought her out to walk about and let her take her time to warm up.
At least she made it to the table during the second half, though she still didn't warm up to my relatives. Nevertheless, it was a good attempt and we hope she will grow to enjoy these functions. By the way, she had fever and cough, and had been vomitting after milk. I am all tire-out worrying over her. (as I'm making this entry, she vomitted again). Get well soon, my darling.

Don't they look stunning?
A cross between a photograph and painting. You can't decide which is which.
I have just discovered HDR-- High Dynamic Range imaging, and I'm in love with the technique.
(wiki definition: In image processing, computer graphics, and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminance between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wide dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight.)
What you do is; you take a few shots of your subject, map them together with a software - Photomax Pro, and adjust the colours and contrasts to your liking. I so wish to explore this! Wish me good luck!

What's your personality?
I've always known that I am neurotic but I've thought that I've overcame it and become less anxious generally but I guess the basic personality may still show up during an honest test.
